Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rig Electrician
Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Maintenance: Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components on drilling rigs, including generators, motors, control panels, and lighting systems.
- Electrical Safety: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations, conducting regular inspections and testing of electrical equipment and systems to identify and address potential hazards.
- Equipment Installation: Install and connect electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety protocols.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing necessary repairs to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on electrical equipment and systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Parts and Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of electrical parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance and repair activities, ensuring availability and timely procurement as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, codes, and regulations related to electrical work through training and professional development opportunities, enhancing skills and knowledge to improve job performance.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with rig crew members, supervisors, and other personnel to prioritize electrical maintenance activities, address equipment-related concerns, and support operational requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in electrical maintenance procedures and practices, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of drilling operations.
