Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Mechanic
Responsibilities:
- Support Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of drilling rig equipment, including engines, motors, pumps, and hydraulic systems, under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
- Preventive Maintenance: Participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of rig machinery and equipment.
- Equipment Setup: Assist in the setup and preparation of equipment required for drilling operations, including ensuring the availability of necessary tools, spare parts, and materials.
- Assist Emergency Repairs: Provide assistance during equipment breakdowns and malfunctions, helping to diagnose issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Parts Management: Support inventory management of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring proper storage, organization, and replenishment as required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance and repair activities, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe work practices.
- Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Training and Development: Learn and develop skills in equipment maintenance and repair through on-the-job training, mentorship, and participation in training programs and workshops.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with mechanics, rig crew members, and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks, address equipment-related concerns, and support operational requirements.
