Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Electrician
Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Support: Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components on drilling rigs, including generators, motors, control panels, and lighting systems.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations while performing electrical maintenance and repair tasks, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe work practices.
- Equipment Assistance: Provide assistance during the setup, installation, and connection of electrical wiring, circuits, and equipment according to specifications and blueprints, under the guidance of experienced electricians.
- Emergency Response: Assist in responding to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, helping to diagnose issues and implement necessary repairs to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance: Participate in routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on electrical equipment and systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Inventory Management: Support inventory management of electrical parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring availability and timely procurement as needed.
- Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of electrical maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Training and Development: Learn and develop skills in electrical maintenance and repair through on-the-job training, mentorship, and participation in training programs and workshops.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with electricians, rig crew members, and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks, address equipment-related concerns, and support operational requirements.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices, codes, and regulations related to electrical work in the drilling industry, seeking opportunities for continuous learning and skill enhancement.
