Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Floorman
Responsibilities:
- Rig Floor Operations: Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of drilling rig equipment on the rig floor, including drill pipes, casings, and tools.
- Pipe Handling: Handle and maneuver drill pipes, tubulars, and other drilling equipment safely and efficiently during drilling operations, following established procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on rig floor equipment, including cleaning, greasing, and inspection, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Fluid Management: Assist in the mixing, testing, and monitoring of drilling fluids, ensuring proper viscosity, density, and chemical composition as required for drilling operations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on the rig floor, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe work practices.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents on the rig floor, including well control situations, by following emergency procedures and assisting the drilling crew as needed.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the drilling crew, including the driller and assistant driller, to coordinate rig floor operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of rig floor activities, including pipe tallies, equipment inspections, and safety reports, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development: Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to rig floor operations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other rig crew members to achieve operational objectives, contribute to a positive work environment, and support the overall success of drilling projects.
